Recording: what to say, and what happens with no signal
How the recorder saves, uploads, and recovers.
What to say
Talk the way you would brief a colleague. Cover what you did, how the person responded, anything you measured, education you gave, and the plan. Say numbers you want in the note. Driveway will not add any you did not say.
No signal
The recording is written to your phone every 30 seconds. If the upload cannot start, the app says "Saved on this phone" and uploads on its own the next time it is open with a connection. Closing the app does not lose the recording.
Locked screen
Keep the app open while recording. Some phones pause the microphone when the screen locks; the app asks the phone to keep the screen on during a recording.
Consent
Recording notice text is specific to your state. All-party states (California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington) require everyone present to agree. For a minor, a parent or guardian consents. The date is stored with the client.
